One of the things that struck me as interesting in regards to the arrest of Richard Roberts earlier this year, was that it occurred on January 24th, the birthday of his late father Oral Roberts. I wonder if this was just a coincidence, or was there some sort of celebration going on that night.
I also read, that he listed his place of residence as Newport Beach California.

I know there are certain people like school children for example, who love to have “snow days”. I however, love the fact that we are having great weather!
After what happened last year, this is great! No snow to dig out of my driveway. No slippery roads. I could go on.
Hey kids! Think of it this way, you will get out of school earlier this year.

Well it’s that time of year again. The Thanksgiving Day weekend. (almost sounds like a contradiction) I hear and read about 2 popular subjects regarding Thanksgiving: Food and shopping. I do agree that those two subjects are on my mind as well. However, this is not what I am writing about today. I ask myself this question, “What am I really thankful for?”
This makes me ponder and think for what I do have in my life. This also reminds me not to take my blessings for granted. Also, I am making it my personal goal to be a grateful person throughout the year.
So, let us remember this year to be thankful.

Alright, who said, “Let it snow!”? Today, we got a record 14 inches of snow. In fact, they said it was a blizzard! Too much for me. Our drive way is covered up to my garage door with at least a foot of snow. Then there is a drift under the overhang that makes it impossible to pull out of my garage.

I know it sounds crazy: which is worse? The mild drought we are in, or the road construction on I-44? From one point of view, the drought has helped avoid weather related delays on the construction going on around town. I can hardly wait until I get the Yale exit ramp back from eastbound traffic on I-44, and the westbound I-44 entrance ramp from Yale. However, I know how important it is that this drought ends soon. I know I can’t have it both ways. Just wish I could.

Congratulations Glenpool! Bloomberg-Businessweek rated Glenpool as the best place to raise your kids in Oklahoma for 2011!
Also noteworthy, all three bond issues were also voted down. Double congrats!
